New prices and services at GTC

NYULMC/OCS Genome Technology Center announces a new pricing schedule that significantly benefits the NYU investigator community as well as external users; see Services and Fees.

We are happy to announce recently introduced cutting-edge applications and services:

1) Illumina MiSeq

In addition to Illumina HiSeq and Roche 454 FLX GS next-generation sequencing services, we now accept projects to be processed on a Illumina MiSeq.  This new equipment is ideal for small genome sequencing, multiplexed PCR amplicon sequencing, targeted resequencing, ChIP-Seq, small RNA sequencing, and more.

2) Whole Exome Sequencing now available as a full service

NYU/OCS Genome Technology Center is pleased to announce a new full service for the whole exome sequencing (WES) for disease genetics applications performed on human DNA samples, including the library preparation, genome-wide exon enrichment and sequencing from 1 (300x coverage) up to 6 multiplexed human exomes (50x coverage) processed in a single lane using the Illumina HiSeq2000 genome sequencer.

3) ViiA7 Real-time PCR system

Our new ViiA7 real-time qPCR instrument is up and running.

All new projects should use the ViiA7 to conduct experimential runs.  Please identify the type of template and the type of reagents used (e.g., SYBR Green Fast, or TaqMan) in each sample well before submitting a run, for specificity and analysis purposes.

4) Illumina HiSeq2000

In addition to Illumina GAIIX and Roche 454 FLX GS next-generation sequencing services, we now accept projects to be processed on a Illumina HiSeq2000.  This new equipment provides unparalleled performance in the category of 2nd generation deep sequencers:

5) New MicroRNA Services
In addition to the successfully established Applied Biosystems TaqMan Low Density Array (TLDA) qPCR profiling of human and rodent microRNAs, we now offer an enhanced profiling of small non-coding RNAs by Affymetrix GeneChip miRNA 2.0 array. The GeneChip miRNA 2.0 Array provides highly sensitive, accurate, and complete measurement of small non-coding RNA transcripts involved in gene regulation.
