Genome Technology Center (GTC): Service Request

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ: As of 2/28/2014, all service requests for the Genome Technology Center (GTC) will be required to go through the OCS LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System). All previous submission methods (e.g., emailing and calendars) will no longer be accepted. This is part of a larger initiative to improve transparency and streamline the process, with all cores ultimately transitioning to LIMS.

For questions regarding this new process, please email #MCITResearchIT@nyumc.org.

Accessing the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for Service Requests

If You Already Have a Kerberos ID

If you have a Kerberos ID, but do not have access to LIMS, you will need to request access from MCIT (follow this guide).

Please include a valid chartfield in the request to help ensure that you are ready to use the core once the request is granted. If no chartfield is provided, you will have to work with your Principal Investigator, Department Administrator, or Laboratory Manager to set up a billing project. Principal Investigators, their proxies and department administrators can use these instructions to set up a billing project.

Don't Have a Kerberos ID?

A Kerberos ID is a special form of NYULMC identification and is required to access the NYULMC online scheduling system and registration process (i.e., LIMS). If you do not have a Kerberos ID, we will provide one for you:

Please email us your complete name and birth date, and a member of our staff will submit a Kerberos ID request on your behalf. The entire process takes about 1-2 weeks, so please plan accordingly.
